Cascais Railway Modernization

Cascais Railway Modernization including the following interventions:
- Layout changes at Algés, Oeiras, Carcavelos, São Pedro do Estoril, Estoril and Cascais stations, and implementation of contravia diagonals at Santos, Belém and Santo Amaro;
- Construction of a new traction substation in Sete Rios to supply 25 kV - 50 Hz voltage to the Cascais line overhead line;
- Installation of 2 dedicated, independent and redundant feeders between the new Traction Substation in Sete Rios and the Cascais Line, with each of the 2 feeders having a remote-controlled disconnector;
- Installation of control-command and electronic signaling systems and ETCS (European Train Control System);
- Construction of technical rooms for railway signaling and telematics equipment;
- Installation of railway telematics systems;
- Work on stations and halts;
- Work on level crossings.
